Photoshop Skills:
Thought Process:
I love anything fantasy! I always see pictures like this and I'm no good with drawing or painting, so I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone a little bit and try creating my own fantasy art.
Design Process:
I knew I wanted dragons, so I found some free pictures of dragons online. I also wanted some sort of landscape as my background, but decided a lightning storm would be way cooler, especially since we have dragons in the picture.
After getting the dragons the color I wanted them, I put them on my background layer. I had to do some blending and add some effects so that they didn't look completely photoshopped.
It was still missing something, so I added some mountains in the background. It took a lot of messing around to get them close to where I wanted them. I added a light reflection on the water to help smooth the design out a little bit as well.
Revision:
I still really liked the way the colors pop and the overall vibe I get from it. But I decided to add some subtle reflections for the dragons. It adds a little bit more dimension to the graphic.
