Thought Process:
I didn't have my own picture to either restore or retouch the way that I wanted to, so I decided to look one up on the internet. I wanted to focus on retouching a photo with acne and scars, so that's what I did! Her skin is much clearer than it was before.
I also used a similar process to frequency separation, but tweaked it a little bit. I used that technique to make sure her pores weren't as noticeable and to make her skin look smoother.
Design Process:
I started with the spot healing brush to remove all the acne and scar spots. I also used it to clear a few red patches on her nose and chin. Then, I used the blur filter in certain areas like her cheek, chin and nose to make the skin appear more clear and smooth.
Revision:
I went a little harder with the spot healing brush around some of the areas that were still a little red. I also decided to touch up the area around her eyes, so I used the spot healing tool with a lighter opacity to do that.
